This community gathering is not heated. Are you experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one? We have tools to help you find your "center", bring back joy, and reconnect to your inner spirit though grounding, mindful movement and community. Find inner peace again. We are honored to offer a sacred space for you. Our non-heated restorative practice is rooted in gratitude and joy to reawaken your inner peace. We want to help you reignite a spark within, that may have been extinguished. Through grounding, mindful movement and guided meditation we hope to rekindle the spirit. This community class is designed to inspire re-growth in mind-body and your inner light. Find YOU again. Healing is falling back in love with who YOU are.

Mary Ann Arnett has been teaching the Bikram method in the Louisville community for over two decades. She has been a senior teacher at the Hot Spot for over 5 years, and a dear friend of our core group since inception. Mary Ann's husband committed suicide after a long battle with declining health. This traumatic, sudden loss and unbridled grief was the catalyst to find her own healing path. Through her personal yoga practice and steadfast faith, Mary Ann has has been inspired to share with those who are grieving. She has demonstrated the power of faith, community and a regular Bikram yoga practice. She is definitely a beacon of "light" for everyone that meets her.

Kristin Olsen is the director of the Hot Spot, and has been teaching basic breathing, mindful movement, gentle asana, and guiding her patients at the Brook Mental Hospital through a peaceful meditation every weekday morning since 2019. Her belief is that we are all at different levels of our own healing journeys. Spiritually, mentally or physically...we are ALL healing at some level. This common bond with all persons we encounter should encourage us to help each other in this incredible earthly walk.

Friends for 24 years - they have designed a space and Mindful Hour for you.

Mary Ann will be leading our "grief" centered classes with her spiritual guidance, personal journey and joyful spirit.✨✨

Kristin will be leading our "grounding stress relief with guided meditation" for those dealing with the stress/anxiety that come from old traumas, or the "hard to navigate" daily life obstacles.

We will offer our "Mindful Hour" classes as they are needed, and will be listed on the Mind Body schedule and the Hot Spot Website.

Class is open to anyone who would like to incorporate community, gentle asana/mindful movement, breathing exercises and guided meditation.

Each participant will bring a pillow and a beach towel or yoga towel for their comfort.
